2 cups chopped taro (eddoes)

1/2 cup cornmeal
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
3 stalks celery, chopped, with leaves
2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
2 teaspoons white sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
